APPLICATION FOR POKER ROOM LICENSE
(MOHAWK TERRITORY OF KAHNAWÀ:KE – August 25, 2020) – The Kahnawà:ke Gaming Commission (the “Commission”) wishes to inform the Community that, after extension consultations, it has decided as follows:
The Commission will receive applications for a Poker Room Licence, provided the application and application fees are submitted by an eligible person or persons and is received not later than 12:00 (noon) on October 30, 2020 (the “deadline”);
- The Commission will receive applications for a Poker Room Licence, provided the application and application fees are submitted by an eligible person or persons and is received not later than 12:00 (noon) on October 30, 2020 (the “deadline”);
- Unless it otherwise directs, the Commission will not receive any applications for Poker Room Licenses after the deadline;
- If the Commission receives more than three (3) applications prior to the deadline, the Commission will select which applications it will consider granting based on the following criteria:
- The proposed location of the poker room; and
- The proposed size of the poker room;
- If an application is not selected, application fees will be refunded to the applicant;
It should be noted that the Commission is not receiving applications for an EGD facility. The issuance of a new Poker Room Licence does not provide the license holder the authority to operate electronic gaming devices.
As the KGC Office is currently closed to the public, applications for a Poker Room Licence can be submitted via e-mail to info@gamingcommission.ca or mailed to the attention of the KGC Compliance Department at Box 1799.
