RAFFLE REGULATIONS—REMINDER TO THE COMMUNITY
(MOHAWK TERRITORY OF KAHNAWÀ:KE – October 7, 2020) – The Kahnawà:ke Gaming Commission (“KGC”) wishes to remind the Community that on November 9, 2011, the KGC enacted Regulations concerning Raffles (the “Raffle Regulations”). The Raffle Regulations provide that:
“4. Except as authorized or exempted by these Regulations, the operation of a Raffle within the Territory is prohibited. Any breach of this prohibition will be referred to the Kahnawà:ke Peacekeepers.”
The Raffle Regulations state that raffles must not be conducted by individuals unless the value of the prize is less than $1,000.00.
Anyone wishing to make a complaint about a raffle being conducted in Kahnawà:ke that is in breach of the Raffle Regulations should contact the Kahnawà:ke Mohawk Peacekeepers at 450-632-6505.
