VIP POKER ROOM LICENCE SUSPENDED
(MOHAWK TERRITORY OF KAHNAWÀ:KE – June 12, 2014) – At its weekly meeting on June 11, 2014, the Commission decided to issue to VIP Poker Room (“VIP”), located at Plaza 138, a Notice of Immediate Suspension. The suspension of the VIP Poker Room Licence was effective on June 12, 2014.
The Commission’s decision to suspend the VIP was based on a number of operational and management concerns, each of which have been clearly conveyed to the licensee. As a result of this suspension, VIP is not permitted to operate unless and until its Poker Room Licence is reinstated.
The Commission has also issued to VIP a Show Cause Notice giving VIP thirty (30) days to show cause as to why its Poker Room Licence should not be revoked.
The Commission will post further updates as this matter develops.
